Data shown for each geographic area are two adverse birth outcomes commonly used to gauge maternal and child population health: low birth weight (an infant born weighting less than 5.5 lbs) and preterm birth (an infant born before 37 weeks gestation).

Use the race/ethnicity and year filters to explore how the percentage of births that are low birth weight or preterm differs by place, people, and time.
